All of our bikes are with flat or platform pedals. If you fancy to ride clipless pedals, please bring your own and we will change them for the comfort of your ride.
We also provide high quality enduro or full-face helmet, elbow pads, knee pads and gloves. However, there are riders who prefer to bring their own equipment for better comfort and perfect fit.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECTED DURING THE DIFFERENT MTB TOURS?
To strive to go beyond expectations, we have selected the best MTB trails for amazing rides and experiences.
How long is each ride approximately?
It will vary depending on the trail and tour we are riding and of course upon each individual rider.
The full day, scenic, dh, enduro, xco & road biking tours are made to ride from 3 to 4 hours per day, while the multiday and expedition MTB TOURS are made to give riders 4 to 5 hours of riding per day. The rest of the day will be spent loading and unloading bikes, getting a shuttle to the trailheads, visiting cool places, enjoying delicious meals, and having a great time with the guides and some locals.
What meals are included in my tour?
For all of our rides we offer really good snacks, water, and either a delicious homemade picnic lunch or a typical traditional lunch at one of the good restaurants around the places we ride. For our multiday and expedition MTB tours, all breakfast and some dinners are included, as detailed in the ride description. The meals we will have are as great as the trails we will ride!
What about the accommodation?
For the multiday and expedition MTB tours we use well located 3-star hotels and lodges which are very comfortable, clean, safe, and have all the essential services some might need, this hotels and lodges have spaces where we can clean, maintain and store our bikes, it also depends on the size of your team. However, if you and your team are interested in a better level of comfort, it can be coordinated in advance or you can book yourself the hotels you want to stay during the MTB adventure.
Please understand that you are traveling in foreign country with a different culture, different beliefs, different lifestyle and different food. Certain things will not be the same as it is back at home. This is the time to embrace the bizarre and to get to know the real Peru!
What kind of rules do you have for rental bikes?
We provide world class, well maintained and functioning bikes for all our full day rides: shredding Cusco up, Machupicchu multisport and rainbow MTB expedition. We please ask you to look after the bikes. If a bike gets damaged during the ride, the guide will make adequate repairs to keep riding. If it is irreparably damaged during the ride, we will give you another bike after responsibility of the damage is assumed.
Before renting and riding the bikes, we require riders to sign an equipment release form, in order to assume ride related damages to the bikes.
What happens if I bring my own bike?
If you have your own bike for the full day rides, shredding Cusco up, scenic Cusco rides and rainbow MTB expedition, you will get a $50USD discount per day.
For the rest of our multiday MTB and expedition MTB rides, all riders are expected to bring and ride their own bikes. We suggest to bring a reliable fully enduro style bike with at least 160 mm front suspension travel, dropper post, tubeless tire set up resistance to punctures.
Nowadays it is easier to travel with your bike if you pack it in the well-known bike travel luggage brands like THULE and EVOC or even if you put attention to packing your bike in the factory cardboard box it came with.

So, you will have a bike stand available to assemble and repair your bike at your lodging. However, we require riders to bring any special tools for their specific bike, a hand pump, and a multi-tool with chain breaker.
Since we will be riding in the most inhospitable places around the Andes where it is impossible to find a bike shop, and keeping in mind that the selection of replacement parts is limited even in bike shops in Cusco and Lima, we suggest each rider to bring the following list of spare items:
A spare tire
A spare tube
An extra rear derailleur with and extra hanger
Chain repair link and chain lube
Spokes
Small bottle of tubeless sealant
Tubeless patch kit
2 extra pair of brake pads
