Origins of the Sacred Valley:

Everyone talks about the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas, lots of people who are on their way to Machu Picchu visit it from Pisac to Ollantaytambo every day. However, nobody knows the origin of this beautiful valley through which the Sacred River of the Incas flows, a valley full of small towns with unique landscapes, come with us and be impressed by the beauty that this valley offers and above all enjoy riding a bicycle through this little paradise.

  • Minimum altitude:  2972 m – 10692 ft
  • Up:   20 m (66 ft) – Down: 250 m (825 ft)
  • Distance: 33 km – 20.625 ml

After 1 hour driving from Cusco, we arrive to Pikillacta, a very nice pre Incan site where we start our ROAD BIKING ADVENTURE.

We start riding the Panamericana highway for around 15 minutes with an impressive view of a lake. We then ride a road that runs next to the sacred river that flows into a valley full of beautiful mountains and landscapes, which is the origins of the SACRED VALLEY of the incas. During the ride we will enjoy the breeze coming from the river, see unique towns and colorful farming lands until we arrive to Pisac, a small beautiful town that we are going to explore, visiting its artisan market to then enjoy a typical lunch in a local house before heading back to Cusco.
